thank god, this was ridiculous before, lost comments, unreadable when opened up ... and try to make even more white space, the one big blur design is too hard to read

I'm a big fan of Disqus as well. I switched all my blogs to the Disqus format and couldn't be happier. I don't think you'll be unhappy as well.

It's an excellent comment plug-in.. especially for regular bloggers that find it a hassle to

As a result, I had to laboriously find the various Disqus specific elements of template code (thank goodness they put in comments in the code, so they could be readily found), and insert them at the corresponding locations in my already hacked templates. And, note, that is several locations, I had hacked the same regions of the templates that Disqus had, mocospace.com as well. (For example, I had applied a tweak to the templates -- one detailed in Typepad help pages -- to omit the name of the author at the bottom of each post.
